Unearthed Arcana in 3.5 had rules for custom summon lists.Another idea could have been a new spell working like summon monster, but with a new list, so the single spell is not more powerful.Ironically, this could have been a nice thing in Ultimate Magic -_____- Lots of evil summons. The only way the summoned creatures with an * can match your alignment is if they came from a plane that matches your alignment.I'd be very happy to see where the rules say that, as I've been looking for a few months. Benefit: When using summon monster to summon creatures whose alignment subtype or subtypes exactly match your aura, you may cast the spell as a standard action instead of with a casting time of 1 round. All *'d creatures on the SM lists and all creatures without a listed alignment on the SNA lists.
Sure, they can take Augment Summoning, but there are like how many spells on the cleric list that benefit from Spell Focus Conjuration? Maybe the RAW is in fact the RAI.

No it is not, because if you are matching subtypes you still need to match the lawful and chaotic part of the subtype. An exception is the Summoner class's Eidolon special ability Link (Ex), which allows them to communicate at all times. No Chaotic:Neutral Options in the lists.

This is absolutely not useless. I think the creatures with * can be summoned from the various planes. At least, make a list of swappable ones.
Let's talk NG Cleric. But that still doesn't mean they automatically gain the subtype just because their alignment is set by a spell. Either verbal (intelligent summons), handle animal (animals), or some other way. I'd say that qualifies. It's true that every outsider has at least one subtype and that one matching the alignment of the creature would make most sense. If it's PFS, sorry about the barely useful feat.But the summon monster spell just said the creatures are pulled from a different plane.
If you can summon as a standard action, you get creatures that can act immediately, placed where you want them. This would automatically include all creatures of the appropriate subtype since they always have that alignment.But Paizo specifically called out for a subtype-aura-match in the feat description. If what you say is correct Sacred Summons will be an incredibly useless feat. Doesn't that constitute an exact match?But the spell doesn't call out what the creatures subtype normally is.

So the feat wouldn't work for probably half the evil summons either, for the chaotic/lawful evil clerics. Pathfinder Adventure Path, Companion, Rulebook Subscriber CASTING. Once these are up, then you can take your one round casting time if you want, though it is also an iffy proposition. Which probalby means the celestian/fiendish animals are considered magical beasts. What I would like to find a good link to and reference for is the full list of legal (ideally "legal for Pathfinder Society play") monsters that can be summoned with each fo the Summon Monster spells (I'm not playing a Druid so don't care as much about the Summon Nature's Ally spells). Nothing on Sacred Summons says it wouldn't stack with Quicken though.

Adding Celestial / Resolute / Fiendish / Entropic to a creature doesn't change that either, oddly enough.RAW, and most likely RAI due to the specific wording of the feat, it does not work with creatures marked with *.
They are already the most limited summoning class. They could just have written the feat woks for any creature whose alignment exactly matches your aura. If you are neutral evil cleric, unless there is a neutral evil summons you are SOL, because you wouldn't mathc on the chaotic/lawful subtype.So basically you need a summon monster list that includes agathions, daemons, proteans, aeons, and inevitables to cover all the alignments for sacred summons.I think the intent is that the creatures with * comes from the plane that matches your alignment and therefore have a matching subtype.
So any animal he summons would probably not match his aura anyway.Okay, in review of the Bestiary, all Outsiders have subtypes related to their planes.
